Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:7-8 ESV)
I bet you like when things go well in your life! I bet you absolutely hate when things fall apart. You probably panic when you lose control. Most of us would prefer to have a life that is stress free and one that has few complications. Unless you are “different”, most people I have met along the way, typically hope for days without too much drama or trauma. There are occasions when we over complicate our lives, pile unnecessary stressors to our days. But life does not have to be as complex or intricate as we tend to make it. Too often we take simple issues and add layers upon layers of negativity. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast”. (Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV) We take things personal, our feelings are insulted so easily. Remember life is a gift from God, treasure it, it is precious. A friend of mine got cremated recently, all one hundred and thirty pounds of her, now reduced to ashes placed in an Urn. Celebrate life, smile with people that you meet. Embrace your love ones with hugs, lots of hugs. Before you leave home tell someone you love them. When you meet people say good morning. Give someone a compliment. Don’t wait until Father’s Day to tell Dad you love him. Stop taking these things for granted.
